AGRA’s Commitment to Safety

Safety always comes first. It is our policy to strive for the highest safety standards on our projects, demanding careful attention to all company operations by those directly or indirectly involved. Employees at all levels work diligently to execute AGRA’s policy for maintaining safety and occupational health.

Our safety program has been developed to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, with particular emphasis on Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 (OSHA) and OSHA requirements that apply to our construction operations. Regard to the safety of the general public, our employees, and our subcontractors’ employees is a supreme responsibility of all levels of our organization.

“It is essential to ensure a safe and healthy workplace for all Employees and Contractors. Therefore, it is the policy of AGRA that accident prevention shall be considered of primary importance in all phases of operation and administration. It is a basic requirement for management, employees and contractors to make safety an integral part of their regular job function. Through effective orientation and training, we make that happen.”
— Dave Marcott, VP Administration, AGRA

Safety Overview - Safety always comes FIRST!

Regular site visits are made by AGRA Industries’ corporate safety director. On-site orientations are conducted for ALL new contractors and workers. Weekly site walkthroughs are performed and audits are prepared and distributed to all AGRA foremen and subcontractors. When the AGRA corporate safety director is not on site, this will be done by the AGRA Construction site superintendent or foreman.

When the owner’s scope of supply requires, a full-time safety person will be on site during all working hours. When this is not a requirement, the AGRA Construction site superintendent or foreman will oversee safety on the site.
